Adult program. From the historic Lafayette Hotel in Marietta, through the terrifying Ridges of Athens, ghosts and other spirits sneak, creep or cavort around Ohio. Join local author Diane Kinser to hear—and see—some famous haunted places in our state!

Trick-or-Treat at stations throughout the library today! Stations will be open from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- Wed 10/26: Join in the Wild Rumpus
Come play with some of our favorite toys and manipulatives in the Youth Services area.
- Thu 10/27: Take a Journey with Max
Take a fun trip through the jungle with Max. Follow the clues to get back to the bedroom and discover a treat!
- Sat 10/29: Boo off Broadway
Stop in the library while you’re at Boo off Broadway to catch a fun Halloween cartoon. Boo off Broadway is sponsored by the Grove City Chamber of Commerce and runs 12-4 p.m. this year in Town Center Park (site of the old library on Park Street, GPS location 3359 Park Street.)

Come hear about the connection between actual history and ghost stories from James Willis, author of Ohio’s Historic Haunts: Investigating the Paranormal in the Buckeye State.
- Oct 1-30 Haunted Guessing Jar
All ages. Take your best guess at how many candies are in the jar. The person with the closest guess will win a ghoulish prize! Guesses accepted Oct 1–30. Winner announced Oct 31. Open to all ages, one guess per person.
- Oct 1-31 Scavenger Hunt
Participate in a Halloween Scavenger Hunt at the Westland Area Library all month long. Suitable for all ages.
- Oct 24-31 Youth Halloweek Fun
Youth all ages. Join us for a countdown to Halloween with celebrations all weeklong involving crafts, activities, and spooky surprises.
- Thu, Oct 27 @ 6:30p Murder Mystery with Franklin County Coroner
Teens ages 12 & up. Do you enjoy a good whodunit? Well move over CSI, it is your turn to solve the crime! Join the Franklin County Coroner’s Office as they lead us in how to solve a murder mystery.
