Exciting news! Children from birth to age five can now be enrolled to receive free books each month from the Ohio Governor’s Imagination Library!

Ohio First Lady Fran DeWine announced the launch of the Ohio Governor’s Imagination Library (OGIL) in Franklin County on February 11, 2020. Nationwide Children’s Hospital and the Imagination Library will collaborate to promote early childhood literacy, which is proven to positively shape a child’s future health and development.

Any child from birth to age five can be enrolled to receive age-appropriate books from the OGIL. After enrollment, children will begin receiving a new book each month, at no cost to their family, until they reach the age of five. The OGIL is an expansion partnership with Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, which has mailed books to over 132 million children worldwide.

To register, please visit ohioimaginationlibrary.org. OGIL is launching gradually and hopes to expand to all 88 Ohio counties by 2021. You can check the availibility of the program in other counties here
