Outreach Services

What is Outreach Service?

 

The Outreach Department staff assemble collections according to specific reading interests and requests of our customers. Overdue fines are not charged to Outreach customers. Outreach customers are responsible for lost or damaged items. We deliver and pick up collections on a monthly basis. 

 

Who is Eligible?

 

Customers must reside in the South-Western City School District and meet all the following requirements:

  •  Be elderly, disabled or handicapped.  (Please note: A doctor's certification may be required.)
  •  Have no form of transportation
  •  Have no family member or caregiver to bring library materials to them

Due to current staff limitations applicants may be put on a waiting list.

 

Call Outreach at 875-6716, extension 159 to apply for service.

 

Services provided:

 

Large print or regular print books

Books on CD 

Music CDs

DVDs (some restrictions apply)

 

Have Van, Will Travel!  Outreach staff travel around the 128-square mile district in the library's Outreach van delivering library materials to qualifying individuals.
